1. Who we are
Digitoly Billing is a GST invoicing and business management platform operated by Digitoly Consulting Private Limited ("Digitoly", "we", "us", "our"), a company incorporated under the Companies Act 2013, India. 2. What data we collect
We collect the following categories of data: Account data: Your name, email address, mobile number, and password (stored as a salted hash — we never store your plain-text password). Business data: Business name, GSTIN, PAN number, address, state, business type, and licence numbers (FSSAI, drug licence, shop act, etc.) that you choose to enter. Operational data: Customer names, phone numbers, GSTIN, and addresses; product names, prices, HSN codes; invoice data, order data, payment records. Usage data: Log data including your IP address, browser type, pages visited, time of access, and actions taken within the application. Device data: Device type, operating system, and screen size — used to optimise the interface. We do not collect sensitive personal information such as Aadhaar numbers, bank account details, or biometric data.
3. How we use your data
We use your data solely to: • Provide, operate, and improve the Digitoly Billing service • Generate GST-compliant invoices on your behalf • Send transactional emails (invoice confirmations, payment reminders, account notifications) • Provide customer support • Comply with applicable laws and regulatory requirements • Prevent fraud and ensure security We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your data to any third party.
4. Data sharing
We share your data only with: Infrastructure providers: Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), email/SMS delivery providers. These providers are contractually bound to protect your data. Payment processors: Razorpay, for processing subscription payments. Your payment card data is handled entirely by Razorpay and is never stored on our servers. Legal requirements: We may disclose data if required by a court order or applicable law. We will notify you where legally permitted. We do not share your customer list, invoice data, or business data with any other businesses or advertisers.
5. Data storage and security
Your data is stored on encrypted servers. We use row-level security (RLS) — meaning your data is completely isolated from other businesses on the platform. All data in transit is encrypted using TLS 1.3. Access to production databases is restricted to authorised personnel only.
6. Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory compliance (e.g. GST records, which the Indian government mandates be retained for 6 years).
7. Your rights
You have the right to: • Access the personal data we hold about you • Correct inaccurate data • Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements) • Export your data in a machine-readable format • Object to or restrict certain processing of your data To exercise any of these rights, email us at connect@digitoly.com. 8. Cookies
We use essential cookies only — to maintain your login session and remember your preferences. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.
9. Children
Digitoly Billing is not intended for use by persons under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email and by displaying a prominent notice in the application at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
